Dorris June Keown, 74, of Centertown, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Belton, Ky., to the late John Thomas Brooks and Vivian Mae DeAmond Brooks.
She was a member of Liberty Lighthouse Church of God and had been employed as a CNA at Deaconess Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Lake Keown in 2002 and a daughter, Dorothea Mae Keown.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Dean Keown of Evansville, Ind.; one step-son, Timothy Lake Patrick of Evansville; two daughters, Martha Jo Whitehouse of Evansville and Billie June Vincent of Centertown, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, Philip Lake Grafton, Ericajane Nicole Coomes, Juliet Mae Grafton, Dorissa LaVaughn Vincent, Andrew Lake Vincent, Austin Trent Keown, Zachery Kent Keown, Kasey Dean Keown, Homer Wayne Whitehouse, Chasity Dawn Simmons, Derek Patrick, Chad Patrick and Haley Powell; 11 great-grandchildren, Hunter Jackson, Dakota Ray, Aidan Lake, Madden June, Jordyn Mae Elizabeth, Winter Chevelle, Cooper Matthew, Trinity Nicole, Tristan Lanette, Tami Lynn and Jacob Daniel and one brother, Thomas Gerald Brooks of White Plains, Ky.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Sister Mary Doepel and Bro. Michael Decker officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hazel Creek Cemetery in Belton, Ky.
