Betty S. Turner, 71, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Dec. 29, 1941, in Lafollette, Tenn., to the late Leslie Richard and Mary Ruth Smith Gibson.
She was a retired school bus driver for the Ohio County School Board and was of Baptist faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Turner and a daughter, Leslie Ruth Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Benny Richard Turner and wife Jeanette of Beaver Dam, Bryon Roscoe Turner and wife Linda of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Regina Lynn Bennett and husband Keith of Hartford, Sharon Renee Boone and husband Rick of Beaver Dam and Lisa Denae Moore of Beaver Dam; three brothers, Dickie Gibson of Hartford, Alan Ray Gibson and wife Sue of Greenville and Thomas Gibson and wife Brenda of Greenville, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
