Alma Johnson Wright, 86, of Whiting, IN, formerly of Rosine, passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 in Whiting. She was born Apr. 21, 1926 in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late William Andrew and Mae Goff Johnson. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist in Whiting, IN., and she was a homemaker.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ellis Wright, Sr. who passed away on Jan. 23, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Rosales and a grandson, William Turner Elmore.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Martha) Wright of Whiting, Ind. and Edward (Mary) Wright, Sr. of Crowne Pointe, Ind.; three daughters, Elizabeth (John) Zurawski and Lucinda (Ed) Hebblethwaite both of Whiting, Ind. and Connie White of Centertown; two sisters, Wilma (Neil) Hutchings of Louisville and Frances Harvey of Beaver Dam. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
