WinnieShownBaughWinnie Mae (Shown) Baugh, 79, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Jan. 30, 2013, at home. She was born May 16, 1933, as the youngest of eight children to Lillian and Arley Miller Shown.

She graduated Hartford High School in 1951, the same year she married her first husband, James Arthur Howard Jr., who preceded her in death. She wed Kenneth Lee Baugh in March 1978, and he also preceded her in death in November 1989.

Mrs. Baugh was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She served many years as an active volunteer, secretary and performer with the Courthouse Players.

She spent the majority of her career as a secretary and keypunch operator at Systems Resources in Owensboro, Ky. Her hobbies were flower gardening and crocheting. She was also an avid fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball.

Mrs. Baugh is survived by three sons James Edward (Ginger) Howard, Bryan Miller (Michelle) Howard and William Kenneth Baugh; three daughters Karon Gayle (Darrel) Rhoades, Tracy Lee (Mike) Dunn and Trinity Jo (Garrett) Addington, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home, 114 W. Walnut St., Hartford, Ky. The service will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beulah Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
