Rose Maiden, 74, of Horse Branch, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro. She was born April 9, 1938, in Ohio County to the late Robert and Sally Evans Geary.
She was a member of Horse Branch General Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Geary.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Maiden, Sr. of Horse Branch; her mother, Sally Geary of Cromwell; four sons, Carl M. (Sandra) Swift of St. Louis, Mo., Steven Mark (Angelita) Swift, Roger Swift, and Charles E. Maiden, Jr. all of Horse Branch; two daughters, Sheila (Mickey) Baize of Beaver Dam and Candy (Terry) Wilson of Horse Branch; three brothers, Ronnie Geary and Ray Geary both of Butler County, Ky., and Bill Geary of Horse Branch; five sisters, Mattie Bratcher of Cromwell, Ann Filmore of Indianapolis, Ind., Faye Naue of Horse Branch, Sandy Phelps of Centertown, and Kay Kassinger of Beaver Dam. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Terry Tarrance officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery in Horse Branch. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
