Cova Stearsman Allen, 81, of Centertown died Thursday Jan. 3, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Rochester, Kentucky to the late Lofton and Elsie Peay Stearsman.
She was retired from General Electric in Owensboro, was a member of Centertown Baptist Church and she was an avid UK basketball fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Smith Allen who died on Jan. 3, 2011; a daughter-Sherri Leigh Allen; infant twin brothers; a brother-Howard Ray Stearsman and two sisters-Mardale Griffin and Ema Jean Belcher.
Survivors include two brothers,Gary (Sue) Stearsman and Jerry Wayne (Brenda) Stearsman; a sister, Era Nell Baker and many nieces and nephews.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Burial will be in Lone Star Cemetery near Centertown. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
