Corrine Butler Coots, 89, of Cromwell, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab. She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Ohio County to the late Logan C. and Rose Daugherty Butler.
She was a member of Cromwell United Methodist Church in Cromwell and she retired from the Ohio County Board of Education where she worked as a dietary/cook for Beaver Dam Elementary School for 18 years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Belvin W. Coots, who passed away, Dec. 17, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert L. Byrant; granddaughter-in-law, Kim Bryant; one sister, Dora Morris and three brothers, Thomas Butler, Clifton “Nig” Butler, and James Clifford “Cliff” Butler.
Survivors include two daughters, Colleen (Mike) Cox of Beaver Dam and Janet Bryant of Cromwell. She was blessed with two grandchildren, James “Jaime” Keith (Lisa) Bryant and Robert Jason (Pam) Bryant; five great-grandchildren, Heather Bryant (Anthony) Geary, Tyler Scott Bryant, James Colby Bryant, Sierra Bryant, Harlie Bryant, and two great-great-grandchildren, Chase Geary and Parker Geary.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of service, Monday at the funeral home.
