William “Bill” Berkley, 75, of Olaton, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his home. He was born on Sept. 9, 1937, in Olaton, to the late Roy Berkley and Clara Board Berkley.

Mr. Berkley retired from LTV Steel. He loved outdoor activities such as horses, working in the yard as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Berkley in 1993 and a step great-grandson, Bobby Carter III.

Survivors include his wife Jean Berkley of Olaton; two sons, Ed Berkley (Christe Lancaster) of Henderson, Ky., and Kenny Berkley (Nancy) of Griffith, Ind.; a stepson, Steve Jennings of Monroe, Mich.; a daughter, Dorinda Vay Berkley of Whiting, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Gayle Yewell (Tom) of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Tara Hasting and Anthony Berkley; five step grandchildren, Erica Carter, Jessica Strenke, Cole Jennings, Emily Yewell and Alexa Jennings and two step great-grandchildren, Leah Carter and Bentley Carter and two brothers, Mike Berkley of Whiting, and Joe Berkley of Fordsville, and two sisters, Phyllis Grawberg of Owensboro and Carolyn Fisher of Baton Rouge, La.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Chapel of Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Bro. Earnest Whitely officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
