Rev. James Dwight Small, 66, of Russell Springs, Ky., passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was born June 12, 1946, in McHenry to the late Jesse and Emogene Goff Small.
He was a minister at Bernard Ridge Church of God in Russell Springs.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael “Mickey” Small.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Small of Russell Springs; two sons, Marty Small of Rockport, Ky. and Steve Small of Beaver Dam; one brother, Phillip Small of Iowa; two sisters, Diane Steffey of Illinois and Karen Knight of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Noah Small and Tyler Asberry and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Additional services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Bernard Ridge Church of God (170 Stephens Ridge Road, Russell Springs, Ky.) with visitation from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m.on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Services in Russell Springs will be handled by Bernard Funeral Home.
