Marie Nelson Taylor, 83 , has taken the hand of our Lord and Savior, along with her husband Jesse Taylor whom had passed away in December 2003. Marie passed away at home with her loving son, Joseph L. Taylor and wife Lanetta Taylor.
Marie worked as a LPN then became an RN. Marie loved working and taking care of her patients. Then Marie went on to work for Peabody Coal Company as a coal hauler.
Marie was born to the late Lula Mae Tichenor Nelson and James Alexander Nelson.
Preceding her in death was six sisters, Beulah Kay Nelson, Grace Waltrip, Nora Ward, Mary Louise Nelson, Lula Fay Nelson and Wanda Mae Nelson and two brothers, James C.Nelson and Carol Ray Nelson.
Survivors include two sons Joseph (Lanetta) Taylor of Beaver Dam and James Ray (Bonnie) Taylor of Ill. Two sisters Anna Laura Brownd of Beaver Dam and Lillian (Gilbert) Hardin of Centertown. Six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Burden, Joseph/Joey (Jessica Preston) Taylor, Travis (Nicki Saay) Taylor, Carol (Bill) Bell, Jesse (Suzi) Taylor. 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Central Grove
