Michael “Mickey” Small, 53, of Owensboro, formerly of Ohio County, passed away, Monday, September 10, 2012 in Owensboro. He was born April 10, 1960 in Hartford, to the late Jessie and Emogene “Bill” Small. He worked most of his life as an underground coal miner.
Survivors include his children, Olivia Small, Trevan (Lacey) Small, Tia Small and Eliza Patton (Phillip) Swihart; two sisters, Karen Knight and Diane Small; two brothers, Rev. James Dwight Small and Phillip Small and five grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 13, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Mark Knight officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Mickey Small Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
