Sercie McKinley James, 64, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1947 in McHenry, Ky., to the late Ray James and Ruth Hoskins James.
He was a member of McHenry Church of Christ and was employed by Dart Polymers in Owensboro, Ky., as a maintenance supervisor. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Nadine Thompson and Linda Lou Fultz.
Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Brenda Sue Hazelrigg James of Hartford; one daughter, Kelly Ann James Garner and her husband Billy of Beaver Dam; three grand children, Holly Garner Bennett and her husband Alan of Hartford, B.J. Garner and Heath Garner both of Beaver Dam; three great-grandchildren, Branson Calloway, Alleigh Bennett and Keaton Garner; one sister, Janice Ann Cook of Beaver Dam as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Rodney Albin and Bro. Troy Richards officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and again from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Sunday. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
