Gordon C. Henry, 95, of Newnan, Ga., passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Southland Nursing Home in Peachtree City, Ga. Mr. Henry was born in Ohio County on Aug. 8, 1916, to the late Joseph B. Henry and Mahala Bunger Henry.
Mr. Henry retired from Skelly Oil in Bedford, Indiana and was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Henry and three sisters, Alice Triplett, Gala B. Funk and Lena Cook.
Surviving is one daughter; Pamela Sharon Turner of Newnan, Ga.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Oakwood Cemetery Hartford with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. There will be no visitation. Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford is in charge of arrangements.
