Dortha Allen Renfrow, 77, of Horse Branch passed away on Friday June 15, 2012, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 14, 1935 in Renfrow, Ky., to the late Effron Allen and Marjorie Underhill Allen.
She was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Ohio County. She retired from Nestaway and was formerly employed at General Electric in Owensboro, Beaver Dam Health & Rehab Center, and Professional Care Health & Rehab Center. She also enjoyed working in her yard and rock gardens.
Mrs. Renfrow was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Lee “Bobby” Renfrow, Sr. on April 8, 1992; two sisters, Stella Dockery in 1985, Bernadine Adams in 2003; one brother, Lannie Allen in 1990; and one grandson, Nathan Lee Renfrow in 2004.
Surviving are two sons, Walton Lee Renfrow, Jr. and his wife Debby, and Billy Lee Renfrow and his wife Christy all of Horse Branch; four grandchildren, Ashley Renfrow, Joseph Renfrow, Emma Renfrow and April Nicole Davis; one great-grandson, Jaxon Tyler Edwards Renfrow and his mother Stacey Edwards; one sister, Debbie Beatty and her husband Mike of Beaver Dam; and one brother, James LaRue Allen and his wife Velma Jean of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 18, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Ohio County.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services on Monday at the funeral home.
