Ronnie D. Ashburn, 57, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Owensboro to the late Claude Jr. and Anna Louise Adams Ashburn.
He was a member of the McHenry Church of Christ and was a farmer and retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Ashburn Jr. and Anna Louise Adams Ashburn and his brother, Tony Ashburn.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Combs Ashburn of Beaver Dam; one son, Ronnie D. (Stephanie) Ashburn, Jr., of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Amanda (Nicholas) House of Rosine, Ashley (Travis) Drake of Beaver Dam and Kandie (Charles Wayne) Crowe of Horse Branch; two brothers, Jimmy (Terri) Ashburn of Beaver Dam and Greg (Phyllis) Ashburn of Masonville; two sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Crowe of Oneida, Ky., and Beverly (Mike) Embry of Cromwell; three grandchildren, Cody Sloan, Dylan Ashburn and Colton Crowe; a sister-in-law, Sheila Ashburn and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Jeff Martin officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the Funeral Home.
