Willis T. “Bo Bo” Snodgrass, 87, of Beaver Dam, passed away, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Professional Care Health and Rehab in Hartford. He was born Nov. 9, 1924, to the late Andrew Jackson and Zenia Moore Snodgrass in Ohio County.
He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Beaver Dam and McHenry Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Willis was of Baptist faith and worked as a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company at Ken Surface Mine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Snodgrass and Zenia Moore Snodgrass; his wife, Flossie Snodgrass; two brothers, Willie J. Snodgrass and Bloomer Snodgrass and two sisters, Venzie Brown and Pansy Snodgrass.
Survivors include two sons, Glindale Snodgrass and wife Charlotte of Horse Branch and Micky Payton and wife Opal of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Doris Ann Inhulsen and husband Roy, Kim Flamion and husband Brian, Kevin Snodgrass and wife Jill, Amy Bolin and husband Jason and John Schroader.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 4, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Military Honors and Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
