Caroleen Kay Bell Dowell, 63, passed away, April 27, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind., surrounded by her family. Caroleen was born Feb. 15, 1949, to the late Lionel W. Dowell and Anona Kimmel Bell.

Caroleen was a member of the West Point Baptist Church and was retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department after 20 years of service, where she was a certified heavy equipment operator.

Caroleen never met a stranger and leaves behind many beloved friends.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Scott and Brent Dowell both of Centertown; a sister, Benita Baker of Centertown; two nieces Cassandra (Danny) Cooper of Mortons Gap and Kimberly (Stewart) Lofton of Springfield, Ill., and a nephew Justin (Kayla) Baker of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tueday, May, 1, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery in the Matanzas Community of Ohio County.  Friends may visit with the family Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
