Harold Ronnie Baize, 85, of Beaver Dam, passed away, Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. He was born April 7, 1927, in McHenry, Ky., to the late Joseph Ronnie and Addie M. Gaddis Baize. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Beaver Dam, heavy equipment operator for Detroit Edison, a lifetime member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #226 and he was a shriner.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe C. Baize, Charles W. (Bud) Baize, Floyd Thomas “Tom” Baize and one sister, Brenda J. Adkins.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Willie Jo Cantrell Baize of Beaver Dam; one son, Harold Ronnie Baize, Jr. of Chico, Calif.; two daughters, Jo Ann Baize of Beaver Dam, Linda Pauline Katus of Wixon, Mich.; one brother, Neil Baize of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Leona M. Sluss of Virginia and Sarah Lee Atkins of Michigan.  Mr. Baize was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Jessie Tichenor officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Wesley Phelps Honor Guard preforming Military rites. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday and 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
