Othia G. Burkhead, 75, of Hartford, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born February 6, 1937, in Ohio County to the late Odie and Stella Matthews Smith. She was of Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Burkhead; her son, Douglas Morris and her parents, Odie and Stella Matthews Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Tonya Phelps of Hartford, Sheila Hodges of Beaver Dam and Tammy Worth of Hartford; one brother, Avery Smith of Evansville; one sister, Gena Vee Gaines of Taylorsville, Ky., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
