John William ‘J.W.’ Renfrow

John William “J.W.” Renfrow, 79, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Horse Branch to Orena Arnold Renfrow and the late Raymond Renfrow.

He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 39 years of service and was a farmer. He was a member of Dover Chapel General Baptist Church in Louisville and attended Horse Branch Christian Church.  He was a veteran of the Korean War and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat Fan.

Survivors include his wife Joenell Sandefur Renfrow; his mother, Orena Renfrow; four sons, John William (Judy) Renfrow Jr., of Beaver Dam, Ronnie W. (Jackie)Renfrow of Horse Branch, Kenneth D. Renfrow, and Bryan Lee Renfrow both of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Bonita A. (James Bruce) Oldham of Charlestown, Ind.; and eight grandchildren: Winter Griffith, Courtney Renfrow, Kelly Jo Oldham, Heather Corrick, James Bruce Oldham, Cody Renfrow, Robbie Renfrow, Hannah Renfrow; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Griffith and Dane Corrick; and one sister, Linda Rhea (Jack) Yates of Rineyville, Ky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at
Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.  Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the
funeral home.
