Donald Anderson, 79, of Little Bend (Ohio County), passed away, Monday, March 19, 2012, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1933, to the late Michael and Mary Soboleski Anderson in Newtown, Ohio.
Donald was a milling machine operator for National Acme in Cleveland, Ohio, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Mike Anderson, one brother, Thomas Anderson, and one sister, Jane Slimbarski.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Read Anderson of Little Bend; one daughter, Debra Poole and son-in-law Mike Poole of Willowick, Ohio; one brother, John Anderson of Lenoir City, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Rebekah Poole, Sarah Poole and Justyn Poole; one Nephew, Michael Slimbarski and wife Sheila; two great-grandchildren, Vincent Valerio and Joe Read Valerio and good friends Violet and Milford Thienes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 24, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
