Lorene Rogers Greer, 78, of Indianapolis, formerly of Cromwell, passed away, February 26, 2012, at her residence. She was born June 28, 1933, in Cromwell to the late Archie and Pearl Rogers.
Lorene was a longtime employee at Greenwood Village South retirement community in Greenwood, Ind., near Indianapolis. She retired after an impressive career in 2007. Lorene will be sorely missed for her gentle manner and words of wisdom. She enjoyed collecting angels, spending time with her grandson and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Greer Douglass, her son-in-law Jesse, and her grandson Mitchell all of Indianapolis; her sister Margie Morphew of Cromwell; her brothers James Rogers of Cromwell and Robert Rogers of Bowling Green, as well as several other family members and dear friends.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Sister Betty Shaver officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at William L. Danks Funeral Home.
