BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Pamela Gail Cannon Higgs, 43, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Bowling Green Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on March 6, 1981, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Rebecca Ann Bidwell Phelps and the late Bobby Eugene Cannon.

Pam had a firecracker spirit and she was not afraid to speak her mind. She loved talking to everyone she met and telling many of her life stories. She also enjoyed fishing and going to the Bigfoot truck rallies.

Aside from her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Darmon Bidwell Sr. and Betty (William) Crabtree, and her paternal grandparents, George Cannon and Donnie Williams.

She leaves behind her loving boyfriend of nine years, Pleaz Townsley; two children, Colby (Morgan) Higgs and Cheyenne Higgs; her beloved dog, Buggy; her mother, Rebecca (James) Phelps; three sisters, Tammy (Thomas) Carathers, Jenni Brown and Sheila Henderson; two granddaughters, Olivia and Hattie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were like family to her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Pam’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Pam’s family would like to especially thank the ICU staff at Bowling Green Medical Center.
