The Monitor Podcast episode 24 is in the air!
This week we talk a lot of politics and tourism as we had the ribbon cutting for the Bill Monroe Museum, the Beaver Dam Women’s Club held a debate for candidates in the upcoming primary election, and we discussed the fiscal court’s role in tourism as well. We also discuss the Celebrate the Child coming up tomorrow (Saturday April 27) as well as the Farm City Supper tomorrow night.
At the end of the podcast we have a short audio clip from this week’s school board meeting which we’ll have stories about next week. However, Superintendent Scott Lewis, who is running for state representative, really explains the pension situation and why teachers are very concerned in such a concise way that we felt it should be heard. He also sharply criticizes the governor for his words and actions in all of this.
