HARTFORD, Ky. — The Hartford Fire Department will hold an October Festival in downtown Hartford the weekend of Oct. 7-8.

There will be plenty of fun for the whole family at the Hartford October Festival. There will be food and craft vendors, live music, hay rides, a hot wings eating contest, a cornhole tournament and Big B Wrestling.

For kids there will be a pumpkin decorating contest, inflatables, a cake walk, face painting, kid games. Dr. Popper the Clown will be there to have some fun and carnival rides.

There will be a beer garden for the adults sponsored by Cork N Case.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, there will be an October Festival Parade. The parade’s theme will be All Things Fall. Candy is encouraged.

The October Festival will take place in downtown Hartford at 116 E. Washington St. See below for a schedule of times and events.

4 p.m.-Decorative pumpkin awards announced-Bring pumpkins with name attached and place on the sidewalk in front of Hartford City Hall.

5 p.m.-Hayrides begin
