Fordsville High School Alumni Meeting

FORDSVILLE, Ky. — The Fordsville High School Alumni Association will conduct its annual alumni meeting from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25. The meeting will be held at the Fordsville Senior Citizens Community Center at 160 W. Main St. in Fordsville. The Fordsville Senior Citizens Community Center shares the building with the Fordsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Activities will include music, food, and scholarship presentations. A brief business meeting will also be conducted.

All former Fordsville High School alumni, teachers, staff, guests, and friends of the school are welcome to attend the potluck-style meal.

Beginning in the 1870s as a community school offering public education for grades first-twelfth, Fordsville High School served the Fordsville community for well over a century. The current school building was built in 1935.

The Fordsville High School Alumni Association began in 1948 as a collection of individual graduates and attendees of the high school striving to link the importance of the school to the local community.

In August 1990, 135 students in Grades 9-12 were consolidated into Ohio County High School in Hartford. An elementary school still operates today serving grades preschool-sixth.
