BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission has announced the 4th Annual Oktoberfest is set for Oct. 6-7 in downtown Beaver Dam. The event will be part of the city’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.

This year’s festival will include live music, carnival rides, a Fall Cook-Off Contest, a Halloween Parade, vendors, food, crafts, a pumpkin decorating contest, and more.

‘We are excited for Oktoberfest this year. We’re adding several activities in celebration of our sesquicentennial,” said Shelby Whitely, executive director of Beaver Dam Tourism Commission. “The festival will have a hometown feel with multiple vendors, crafts, boutiques, music, and contests. As always, we encourage folks to come to town early and enjoy a meal at one of our many restaurants.”

The live music lineup includes Lindsey James Williams, Cam Thompson, and Cynthia Murray & The End Times.

The Halloween Parade is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, and begins at Beaver Dam Elementary School. The lineup begins at 1 p.m. Anyone is welcome to take part. Businesses may decorate a float. Kids in costumes are also welcome to join the parade. Parade entry forms are available at Beaver Dam City Hall or by emailing director@beaverdamtourism.com. All entry forms must be submitted by 4 p.m. Oct. 4.

To enter the Fall Cook-Off Contest and the pumpkin decorating contest, items must be dropped off in the Beaver Dam City Commission room at Beaver Dam City Hall before 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Winners will be announced that evening before the band’s performance.
