HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Preschool registration has begun with registration days scheduled for each school throughout the month of May. Parents are welcome to attend any of the registration days.

Parents are asked to bring several items of information when registering a child for preschool. Ohio County Schools provided a list of registration information needed to sign up your child for preschool:

  • Income Verification (W2 preferred)
  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Kentucky Immunization Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Insurance or Medical Card
  • Physical and Blood PRessure
  • Lead Test
  • Dental Exam
  • Eye Exam

Below is a schedule of preschool registration dates:

Kentucky Veterans Project exhibit @ The Main Place Makers' Shoppe & Studios

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Main Place Makers’ Shoppe & Studios, formerly Ohio County Artists’ Guild, along with the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, will host the Kentucky Arts Council’s traveling exhibit titled “The Kentucky Veterans Project.” The exhibit will run from May 4 to May 31.

This exhibit features artwork by Kentucky’s military veterans and loved ones of those who have served. The Kentucky Veterans Project exhibit was on display in the Kentucky state capitol for one month before beginning its yearlong tour around the Commonwealth in December 2018.

The Main Place Makers’ Shoppe & Studio is at 101 N. Main Street in Beaver Dam. The Shoppe will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other open dates and special events in conjunction with the Veteran’s art exhibit will be announced soon.

Veterans whose art will appear in The Kentucky Veteran Project exhibit, listed by name, county and branch of service are:

Kentucky Veterans Project exhibit @ The Main Place Makers' Shoppe & Studios

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Main Place Makers’ Shoppe & Studios, formerly Ohio County Artists’ Guild, along with the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission, will host the Kentucky Arts Council’s traveling exhibit titled “The Kentucky Veterans Project.” The exhibit will run from May 4 to May 31.

This exhibit features artwork by Kentucky’s military veterans and loved ones of those who have served. The Kentucky Veterans Project exhibit was on display in the Kentucky state capitol for one month before beginning its yearlong tour around the Commonwealth in December 2018.

The Main Place Makers’ Shoppe & Studio is at 101 N. Main Street in Beaver Dam. The Shoppe will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other open dates and special events in conjunction with the Veteran’s art exhibit will be announced soon.

Veterans whose art will appear in The Kentucky Veteran Project exhibit, listed by name, county and branch of service are:

‘Horses and Heathens’ @ Beaver Dam Amphitheater

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The First United Bank & Trust’s Summer Concert Series is going to be hot this year and it just got hotter as the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission has announced another huge event.

The Band of Heathens, A Thousand Horses, Bottle Rockets, and Jericho Woods will all play at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, as part of “Horse and Heathens.”.

“Horses and Heathens,” will also feature a broad selection of beers available for purchase for guests 21 and older.

“We wanted to create a special event specifically for Americana and Country-Rock music fans throughout the region. We’ve done that with a festival-style lineup of fabulous bands and a bigger selection of tasty beers than we normally carry,” said JoBeth Embry, Tourism Director. “This will be a night of bands, beer, food, and good times for all. Who knows, we might just make this an annual thing.”

Tickets are on sale Wednesday, May 22, at 9 a.m. CST, for the Password Pre-Sale. The pre-sale password is AMERICA (not cap sensitive). Tickets are on sale to the public Friday, May 24, at 9 a.m. CST.
