HARTFORD, Ky. – Phyllis Ann Manaois, 72, of Hartford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and family on Saturday, May 23, 2026, under the care of Hospice of Ohio County after a battle with cancer. Born on Aug. 3, 1953, the beloved daughter of late James Swanson and Mable Stoner.
Phyllis was employed with the Ohio County Board of Education for eight years and worked in the cafeteria. She loved fishing and playing Texas Hold’Em Poker.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 47 years, Roger Manaois; children, David Gassner, Dan Gassner, John Freeman and Salena Manaois; grandchildren, David Gassner, Jr., Megan Gassner, Kaylie Gassner, James Gassner, Alexis Danahey and Tommy Lane; siblings, James (Lena) Swanson, David Swanson and Ron (Sherry) Swanson; sisters-in-law, Janice Tabor and Dorothy Duke; along with several nephews, cousins and close friends.
There will be a private family service at a later date. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
