Patty ‘Pat’ Eilene Pence

BIG CLIFTY, Ky. — Patty “Pat” Eilene Pence, 64, of Big Clifty, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ March 17,2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Patty was born in Palestine, Illinois, Oct. 12, 1961, to the late William Floyd Wagstaff and the late Linda Lou Coppage.

She was a devoted Christian who loved God. She spent her days with the love of her life of 22 years, Darrell Pence, sitting at the table reading Gods word, drinking coffee, watching the auction or sewing.

She longed for the pearly gates of Heaven to see Jesus and to hug her daughter again. She can rest easy in the arms of Jesus with Samantha at her side.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Kessinger; great-granddaughter, Colby “CJ” Vanover; and her sister, Debra Lynn Decker.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Pence; children, Sandy (Steve) Vanover, Alicia (Gene) Haynes, Tiffany (Billy) Decker, Kelsey Pence, Danielle (Chris) Huff, Chris (Baptista ) Lindsey, Kevin (Audrey) Lindsey; grandchildren, Myka (Jack) Sloan, Madison Seaton, Becca Lindsey, Colby (Kalee) Vanover, Matthew (Katie) Vanover, Josiah Lindsey, Austin (Brianna) Seaton, Heaven Vanover, Walker Lindsey, Dylan Decker, Caden Lindsey, Johnathan Lindsey, Marietta Lindsey Bentley Decker, Everly Huff, Ava Alton, Rylan Hall; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Seaton, Jamari Seaton, Eric Vanover, and those on the way, Georgia Seaton and Zade Vanover; her siblings Roy Wagstaff, Pete (Tracie) Wagstaff, Willie (Jim) Flewallen and Becky (David) Bratcher; along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. at Horse Branch General Baptist Church with Bro. Connor Raymond presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Pat’s favorite color was purple so family welcomes friends to be comfortable and wear something purple if you want. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the arrangements.
