LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Special Weather Statement for Ohio County.

According to the NWS, as temperatures slowly fall overnight, isolated to scattered snow showers are likely to develop by the early morning hours of Thursday. Scattered snow showers will then be possible throughout the daytime. Some localized intense or brief heavy snow showers will be possible along with gusty winds from the west at 15 to 25 mph.

A quick dusting of accumulation will be possible beneath some of the snow showers. Very localized streaks of snow accumulation exceeding 1 inch are also possible.

Use caution if traveling Thursday. Temperatures are not likely to budge from the low to mid-30s. Scattered snow showers may briefly reduce visibility to less than one mile and produce a quick coating on roadways.
