
He was a mold maker who enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, and watching Westerns.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Joyce Carnes Lindsey; and a sister, Rita Burden.
He is survived by his sons, Doyle Lindsey (Melissa), of Maryville, Ohio, Douglas Lindsey (Rebecca), of Caneyville, Kentucky, Dustin Lindsey (Beth), of Short Creek, Kentucky; a daughter, Margie Stewart (David), of Rosine, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Perry Lindsey, of Leitchfield, and Andy Lindsey, of Caneyville; a sister, Mary Lou Johnson (Rollie), of Leitchfield; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Davy Norris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
