HARTFORD, Ky. — Brenda Hampton, 71, of Hartford, passed away May 11, 2022. She was born in New Albany, Indiana, on June 21, 1950, to the late Victor and Mary Jones Fentress.
She was a nurse’s assistant for 40+ years at the Jewish Hospital. Brenda sang in a gospel group for many years. She enjoyed going to church and was a part of the Pentecostal Faith.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lyle Hampton; brothers, Gary Fentress, William “Tiny” Fentress; and her baby sister, Verla Rhea.
Brenda is survived by her son, Tim (Stephanie) Hampton; her grandchildren, Ethan Hampton, Hannah Hampton, Aiden Hampton, Nevaeh Albin, and Kayley Albin, and Wyatt Ayer; and a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, and a nephew.
