HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Donald Ray Fisher, 70, of Horse Branch, passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at his residence. He was born June 14, 1951, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late John David and Leatrice Hayes Fisher.

Donald Ray was a retired coal miner. He was a member East Fairview General Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Oldham Fisher; one daughter, RayJeanna Kay Fisher; and two brothers, Kenny Fisher and Murail Fisher.

Donald Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sons, Michael (Christina) Fisher, of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Jeramy Fisher, of Horse Branch; one daughter, LaDonna (Thomas) Fisher, of Horse Branch; 10 grandchildren, Aaron (Emerald) Beasley, Dakota (Darrell) Henkle, Dylan Decker, Logan Fisher, Bethannie Decker, La Jeanna Decker, Bailey Fisher, Jesse Decker, Brylie Fisher, and Jacey Fisher; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Allie Henkle; two brothers, John David Fisher Jr., of Somerset, Kentucky, and Curtiss (Kathryn) Fisher, of Cromwell, Kentucky; one sister, Sheila (Joseph) Rodrigues, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Carl Decker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Horse Branch. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
