OCH offers more information on confirmed COVID-19 cases

HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County has two confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to Green River District Health Department. The patients are self-quarantined and will have daily communication with GRDHD. GRDHD will also conduct chain of contact investigations for both patients. OCH asks the community to send well wishes for a speedy recovery to the patients

OCH fully expects to see additional cases in Ohio County in the coming weeks and asks Ohio Countians to do their part in stopping the community spread of this virus by staying safe at home. If you need more information, refer to the social distancing guidelines at kycovid19.ky.gov.

Before seeking treatment for COVID-19 related illness, call the 24/7 Hotline at 270-256-5535. Or visit the drive-up screening center at 1132 Clay Street in Hartford.

Wednesday, theOCH COVID19 Screening Center saw 14 patients. All progressed to treatment by a provider which included a respiratory panel, chest x-ray and CBC.

Of those screened today, two patients were tested for COVID-19. To date, OCH has tested 17 patients with 11 negative results and six pending results.
