CROMWELL, Ky. — Darrell Daugherty, 83, of Cromwell, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 13, 1935, in Cromwell to the late Park and Mabel Keown Daugherty.
Darrell was a member of East Fairview Baptist Church in Cromwell.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Daugherty; two brothers, Auburn “Buster” Daugherty, and Weldon Daugherty; and one sister, Shirrel Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Lucille Baize Daugherty, of Cromwell; three children, Darrell Phillip (Patti) Daugherty, of St. Cloud, Florida, Patricia (Bill) Harrison, of San Jose, Illinois, and Shirley (Neil) Albers, of Astoria, Illinois; and a brother-in-law, Milford Johnson. Darrell was blessed with seven grandchildren, Denika (Johnny) Dennis, Jason (Amanda) Daugherty, Misti Daugherty (Matt LaMastus), Justin (Libby) Albers, Sarah (Eric) Smith, Amanda Harrison and Billy Harrison; and 17 great-grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Kenzie, Ethan, Skylar, LillyAnn, Parker, Kelsi, Karra, Madison, Adrian, Brant, Tripp, Erika, Emily, Anna and Brett.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Junior Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Cromwell. Friends may visit with Mr. Daugherty’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
