BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation is warning its customers of a familiar phone scam making the rounds.
WRECC received several calls from customers about a scammer calling them and threatening to disconnect their service because of overdue bills. The scammers then give the WRECC customers an 800 number to call to resolve the issue.
If you receive this call, it is a scam! Hang up immediately!
