HARTFORD, Ky. — The name of the child killed in a fire this morning in Reynolds Station has been released. Ivy Henry, 2, perished in a mobile home fire early this morning. Her parents, John and Christin Henry, along with their daughter, Ireland, 7, and son, John-Ross, 4, were able to make it out of the fire.

John and Christin Henry were taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to be treated for their injuries. The two children were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, the Fordsville Fire Department, Dundee Fire Department, Whitesville Fire Department, Ohio County EMS, Ohio County EMA and Kentucky State Police all responded to the scene.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, thanked all those who responded to the fire and spoke about how mornings like this morning can affect a first responder.

“We as emergency workers have many days that we are able to help people with problems and issues that may arise. Helping is why each one of us are in the career that we are in. We see many bad things that happen here in our community and those are heart-felt. This morning was one of those mornings that we experienced a loss of life and no matter how hard we try we feel helpless in these situations,” Beatty said.

“I cannot express the amount of effort put forth from all emergency workers that responded, Whitesville Fire Department, Fordsville Fire Department, Dundee Fire Department, KSP, EMA, Sheriff’s Office, neighbors, friends and family. I am very proud of each and everyone that responded or helped out and I am proud to be a part of such a caring, professional group,” Beatty said. “It was all hands on deck this morning and I want to thank you all for the effort you put forth. Most important I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Henry family during this time of their loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless our community and our country.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family. If you would like to donate, click here.
