HARTFORD, Ky. — Russell Henry Geary, 62, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born July 29, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Russell Harold Geary and Anna Frances Barnes Forgy.
Russell was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from TVA where he worked as a shift engineer.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Geary.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Shirley Luke Geary, of Hartford; his son, Rhen Geary, of Owensboro, Kentucky; and two sisters, Teresa (Ricky) Welborn and Gala Freels, both of Central City, Kentucky. Russell was blessed with two granddaughters, Kelsey and Kamrhen Geary.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Russell’s family from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
