Barbara Ann Rhoades Moseley

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Barbara Ann Rhoades Moseley, 85, of Owensboro, Ky., passed away June 15, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Jesse Hill and Mary Belle Rhoades.

Barbara worked at General Electric for twenty years, and later in life, she took her love for decorating and sold home interiors. She married Charles Edward Moseley Aug. 5, 1950, and spent 67 wonderful years with him.

Barbara was of the Baptist faith and an active member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church for nearly 40 years. She was a very good cook; Barbara loved to can vegetables and loved to quilt in her free time. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who made every house a home.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Sue Ralston.

Barbara is survived by her husband; daughters, Connie (Rick) Combs, of Middletown, Ohio, and Peggy (Denton) Leach, of Hartford, Kentucky; son, Jerry Moseley (Londa Mitchell), of Pleasant Ridge, Kentucky; brother, Gene R. Rhoades, of Sardis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer (Robbie) Childers, Brian Combs, Erika Combs (Tony Marinelli), Denton Scott (Melanie) Leach, Stephanie (Nathan) Howard, and Melissa (Dwaine) Willoughby; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Michael Childers, Grady Combs, Teeghan and Hattie Leach, and Ethan, Carson, and Ryan Howard; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Glenn Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohio County.
