HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Jesse Daugherty Jr., 74, of Horse Branch, passed away Nov. 19, 2017 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born Jan. 11, 1943, in Coleman, Kentucky, to the late Jesse Daugherty and Maggie Smith Daugherty.

Mr. Daugherty retired from General Tire and Rubber Company and was a member of Horse Branch Church of God.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Dean Whitely Daugherty, and brother, Jimmy Daugherty.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon (Charlie) Tucker, of Owensboro; a daughter-at-heart, Gina Autry, of Owensboro; two sisters, Joyce (Tommy) Etheridge, of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Jan (David) Stahr, of Mayfield; several nieces and nephews; and three grand puppies.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Rev. Vernon Veteto, and Denna Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Daugherty’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
