Ira Lafe ‘Mickey’ Casey

HARTFORD, Ky. — Ira Lafe “Mickey” Casey, 64, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at his home. He was born Feb. 1, 1953, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to the late George Love and Elsie Pearl Romans Casey.

Mickey was a member of East Hartford Baptist Church, was a self-employed antique dealer and was a United States Army Veteran.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raydon C. Casey and George Junior Casey, and two sisters, Thelma Daugherty and Shirley Jane Casey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory are one son, Jacinth (Crystal) Casey, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; one stepson, Billy (Samantha) Fultz, of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Angie Johnson, of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Virginia (Johnnie) Miller, of Dundee, Kentucky, and Mary Alice (Dan) Meddaugh, of Hartford; and one brother, William “Bill” (Becky) Casey, of Beaver Dam. Mickey was blessed with three grandchildren, Paxton and Payton Casey, and Christopher Johnson; and three step-grandchildren, Haven, Braxton and Taiden Fultz.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Jim Hohimer officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Wesley Phelps Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
