HARTFORD, Ky. — Wilma Jean Hines Voyles, 82, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Signature Healthcare at Hartford. She was born in the Cool Springs Community of Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Issac Thomas and Bonnie Leach Hines.

She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Ohio County, a retired head of housekeeping and laundry at Ohio County Hospital, retired sales clerk for Lee’s Dress Shop, and a member of the Ohio County Hospital Auxillary.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jessie L. Baker; one daughter, Debra Eversole; two stepsons, Doug Voyles and Mike Voyles; one stepdaughter, Becky Lindsey; three brothers, Henry, Willis, and Walton Hines; and two sisters, Martha Lee Hines and Dona Cox.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. “Joe” Voyles, of Hartford; one stepson, Richard Wayne (Janet) Voyles, of Hartford; one sister, Nathana “Cookie” Williams of Echols, Kentucky. Mrs. Voyles was blessed with eight grandchildren, Bill (TJ) Eversole, Robbie Eversole, Chris (Baptista) Lindsey, Kevin (Audrey) Lindsey, Jamie (Jamie) Fort, Dustin (Mary) Voyles, Wayne Voyles, and Michael Joe Voyles; and 12 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Miller-Schampire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Chris Lindsey and Rev. Jerry Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens in Owensboro. Friends may visit with the family of Wilma Jean Voyles from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
