HARTFORD, Ky. — Thelma Pearl Casey Daugherty, 71, of Hartford, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Thelma was born on Dec. 25, 1945, in Hartford, to the late George Love Casey and Elsie Pearl Romans Casey.

Mrs. Daugherty was a member of Bible Baptist Church and she worked as a nurse’s aide at Professional Care Health and Rehab.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Tice Daugherty; her daughter, Jennifer Daugherty; one son, Bennie Joe Daugherty; and several brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Tice (Sandra) Daugherty Jr., of Hartford; two sisters, Virginia (Johnny) Miller, of Narrows, Kentucky, and Alice (Dan) Meddaugh, of Hartford; two brothers, Ira “Mickey” Casey, of Hartford, and William “Bill” (Becky) Casey, of Hartford. Mrs. Daugherty was blessed with four grandchildren, Layce Daugherty (Chad Arnold), Lindsay (Shane) Wells, Benjamin (Tina) Daugherty, and Jennifer DeJarnette; and six great-grandchildren, Jaydon Neal, Braxton Fultz, Mayce Daugherty, Madux Moxley, Ella Daugherty and Brison Wells.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Cleatus Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery near Cromwell. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to the Thelma Pearl Daugherty Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
