OLATON, Ky. — Glenn Lee “Ben” Carden, 70, of Olaton, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2107, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and was a retired logger.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Taylor Howard; his parents, Charles B. and Fay Carden; and brothers, Charles B. Carden, Jr., O.D. “Sonny” Carden, and Willis “Ray” Carden.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Howard, of Yeaman, Kentucky, and Penny Carden, of Hartford, Kentucky; two sisters, Geneva (Dwight) Payton, of Olaton, and Garnett Sills, of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jesse Howard, Keeshia Howard, Hayley Howard, Hunter Howard, Richard Goff and Dixie Howard; and five great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, Kentucky, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pattiville, Kentucky. Visitation is 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
