CROMWELL, Ky. — Harold David Basham, 73, of Cromwell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Rosine, Kentucky, to the late Edgar Harold Basham and Lorine McDaniel Clark.

Harold was a member of Rosine Methodist Church and was retired from Peabody Coal Company. Mr. Basham was a United States Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served and defended his country for four years.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Danny Clark, Frankie Clark, Patrick Basham, Beverly Glinski, and Edra Barnette.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 15 years, Sharon Elaine Frames Basham; five stepchildren, Tina Hunt, Travis Hunt, Elizabeth Antonio, Kathy Sandefur, and Michelle Sandefur; seven siblings, Jerry Clark, Belinda (Tony) Renfrow, Eugene (Virginia) Clark, Wayne (Tammy) Clark, Stevie Clark, Gerald Basham, and Rhonda Louck; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Clark; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The Wesley Phelps Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Mr. Basham’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
