HARTFORD, Ky. — Brenda Kay Rock, 65, of Hartford, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 20, 2017, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Rock was born Sept. 19, 1951, to the late George and Mary Morris.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Thurston Rock.

She is survived by five children, Rhoda Robinson, of Dundee, Kentucky, Cindy Walker and husband, Jerry, of Caneyville, Kentucky, Nathan Rock and wife, Toby, of Hartford, Eva Rock, and Anthony Stewart, of Hartford, and William Stewart and wife, Melissa, of Central City, Kentucky. Her biggest joy in life were her grandchildren, Christopher and Natalie Stone, Tatyana, Jasmine and Quincey Robinson, Jayden Walker, Madalyn and Marley Rock, George and Toni Stewart, Sara Beth Leach, and several adopted grandchildren. She loved to watch and spoil her babies, and thought they could do no wrong. She was also extremely proud of her fur and feathered babies, Charlie and George. Mrs. Rock is also survived by three brothers, Marvin Morris, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Danny and wife, Linda, and Phillip Morris and wife, Edith, all of Horse Branch, Kentucky; two sisters, Sue Crumes and husband, David, of Beaver Dam, and Anna Hawkins, of Owensboro, Kentucky. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private service was held at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford on Friday, July 21, 2017. Burial was held at Rock Farm Cemetery near Hartford.
