UTICA, Ky. — Anthony Ray Rhye, 56, of Utica, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was the son of Estel Ray Rhye and Nancy Sue Schroader and stepson of Eldon K. Schroader.

He was employed by Western Kentucky Minerals and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Estel Ray Rhye; mother, Nancy Sue Schroader; stepfather, Eldon K. Schroader; and brother, Timothy Wayne Rhye.

Survivors include his wife, Sonia Hopper Rhye, of Utica, Ky.; two daughters, McKenzie Sue Rhye and Allison Danelle Blankenship, both of Utica; one grandson, Gunner Coal Cash; one sister, Teresa (Kevin) Burt, of Utica; two brothers, Gary (Rhonda) Bevil, of Hardinsburg, Ky., and Larry Bevil, of Madisonville, Ky.; mother- and father-in-law, Linda and Keith Porter, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; brother-in-law, Jack (Alyssa) Payton, of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law, Jessica (Kevin) Geary, of Horse Branch, Ky.; four nieces and six nephews, Joey (Tabitha) Burt, Heather (Rob) Penny, Ashley Rhye, Lauren Rhye, Josh (Jessica) Bevil, Derek Bevil, Jake Bevil, Conner Bevil, Leslee Geary, Preston Geary and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. James Wedding and Rev. Greg Hillard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Anthony’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
