MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Kenneth Lee Daugherty, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his residence. Kenneth was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Jesse and Leona Morris Daugherty.
He attended Barnetts Lick Baptist Church and was a retired local businessman.
Kenneth Lee Daugherty is survived by his wife, Shirley Long Daugherty, of Morgantown; one daughter, Anita Daugherty, of Morgantown; two sons, Keith Daugherty (Mona), of Morgantown, and Steve Daugherty (Astra), of Bowling Green; 10 grandchildren, Sheena Brown (Michael), of Bowling Green, Ky., Shera Lindsey (Steven), of Morgantown, Jackson Daugherty (Rachel), of Bowling Green, Clayton Daugherty (Sarah), of Morgantown, Alex Hudnall, of Morgantown, Rebecca Felty (Seth), of Morgantown, Dylan Daugherty, of Bowling Green, Selena Daugherty, of Horse Cave, Ky., Madison and Kate Carby, of Bowling Green; eight great-grandchildren, Breyden, Wyatt, Amelya, Delilah, Nora, Charli, Addilyn, and Leona; 2017 brings three more precious great-grandchildren, Maverick, Axton and Ky’Ree; four brothers, Wilbur Daugherty (Carol), of Bowling Green, Paul Daugherty (Zona), of Morgantown, Jesse “Jay” Daugherty (Tammy), of Bowling Green, and Timothy “Buck” Daugherty (Pat), of Morgantown; three sisters, Reba Lear (Wayne), of Flint Springs, Ky., Carol Smith (Tony), of Flint Springs, and Pat Smith (Ray), of Eddyville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, May 4, at 12 p.m. with Bro. Chad Bewley officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
