Robert  L.  Render, 72, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 10, 2012, at his home.  He was born June 2, 1940, in Centertown to the late Arnold “PeeWee” and Pauline Ashby Render. 

Bob was a faithful member, deacon and Sunday School Director at West Providence Baptist Church.  He retired from LTV Steel Mill in Hammond, Indiana and returned to his native Centertown.

Bob served his country in the U.S. Army as a heavy equipment operator in South Korea.  He was a member of the Welborn Lee Ashby VFW Post in Centertown.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying planes, helping folks, tinkering with things and spending time with his family.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Arnell Render Hines.

Survivors include his wife Linda Melton Render and two children Mike (Laury) Render  and Clarinda Render (Chris) Higginbotham; four brothers Jerry (Ann) Render, Randy Render, Ed (Alice) Render and Nick (Shirley) Render, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at West Providence Baptist Church. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
